The Royal In You

Then the LORD said to Moses, “Now set the Levites apart from the rest of the people of Israel and make them ceremonially clean.”
Numbers 8:5-6

My Takeaways

Something Old

What are meant for Israel, now belong to every believer.

But you are not like that, for you are a chosen people. You are royal priests, a holy nation, God’s very own possession. As a result, you can show others the goodness of God, for he called you out of the darkness into his wonderful light. 1 Peter 2:9

  • A people treasured most among all the people. (Exodus 19:5-6)
  • A people of His own inheritance. (Deuteronomy 4:20 NIV)
  • A people holy and chosen to the Lord. (Deuteronomy 7:6 NIV)
  • A people He formed for Himself to declare His praise. (Isaiah 43:21 NIV)

Something New

I don’t feel royal, but you are. Live royally.

Something to Do

Live royal because you are.

  1. I love that Wendy! He formed me so I can praise Him!
It was built according to the exact design the Lord had shown Moses. Numbers 8:4
It (my body) was created (built) by God, to his exact design and specifications. HE did the work in creating me. He made me exactly how He wanted me to be. Therefore I am responsible for following God’s instructions on how to take care of my body. He is the only one who knows these instructions because He made me. He has given me the owners manual. I must follow His instructions for my care and upkeep. No crazy diets, restrictions or plans, just God’s way.
Purify-to make pure; free from anything that pollutes, adulterates or contaminates. To clear or purge, to make clean. Detox!
Purified and presented as a special offering. It is a special gift of food presented to the Lord 3:11

    My to do:
Detox, carefully follow all the Lords instructions he shows me through His word, present each meal and ask for his blessing over it.

  2. After today’s reading in Leviticus I was reminded of the wonderful gift I have in Christ. I don’t have to sacrifice animals
and stain my hands and clothes with blood. I am grateful that I don’t have to do anything to be acceptable to the Lord. Because of Jesus’ sacrifice on the
cross I am already made right with Him. His blood washed me clean for all time. I am made right with God because of the bloody boards of Jesus’ cross. He died for me, I get to live with Him! The book of Leviticus helps me to understand the power of the cross. John 1:29 says it best, “The next day John saw Jesus coming toward him, and said, “Behold! The Lamb of God who takes away the sin of the world!”

  3. What stood out to me today was numbers 9:4-12. Some men are unclean at the time of the Passover and come to Moses to to ask if they can still bring their offering. I love that Moses’ first respone is to go and ask the Lord. The men were to wait while he inquired of the Lord. The Lord answered Moses and provided a way for them to still present their offering. I want to follow Moses’ example and bring any questions I have before the Lord. Wait on Him to answer; trusting Him to hear me and answer according to His best. Then I need to walk in obedience to whatever that answer may be whether it’s what I desire or not.
