TGFABT – Psalm 63

Thirsty Souls and Body Aches

” O God, You are my God, earnestly I seek You…” Psalm 63: 1a

We can’t miss what we never knew.

How do we know God like this….so much that when we aren’t with Him our soul thirsts and body aches?

Earnestly Seek Him (all one phrase) NIV Early will I seek (all one phrase) KJV Do something betimes, enquire early, seek betimes, seek diligently early, in the morning Diligently

Constant in effort to accomplish something; attentive and persistent in doing anything

Truth Tuesday

Journal: What truth is God teaching you through Psalm 62?

Praise Him to prevent spiritual thirst.

Word Study Wednesday

Because Your love is better than life, my lips will glorify you.” NIV (V3)

Because Thy loving-kindness is better than life: my lips will praise thee.” (KJV)

I love the meaning of better in verse 3.  It is better than better! loving-kindness: favor better: beautiful, best, better, bountiful, cheerful, at ease, fair word, be in favor praise: address in a loud tone Girls, His favor is beautiful, bountiful, cheerful, at ease, a fair word, and is in favor.

Now that is worth celebrating today! Let’s let everyone  hear how we feel our full of loving-kindness God!

A fun fact: “Taste and see that the LORD is good; blessed is the one who takes refuge in Him.” Psalm 34:8 Good is the same in Psalm 34:8 as in Psalm 63:3.
