Psalm 61 – FS/FS

How is God strengthening and/or stretching your faith?

Trust. Trust in a very hard situation with someone I love. Trust on a small airplane from Atlanta to Tupleo, MS and back again.Trust.

  1. I didn’t trust God to get Dana on the bus this morning… She was in prime terrible twos mode, giving me a hard time getting dressed, and throwing her socks and shoes across the room… I’m not sure why I’m not trusting Him and am getting all frustrated when a tantrum occurs. The worse that would have happened, is I would have had to drive her to her program… Really Linda, is yelling really making the situation any better… Sigh… I asked God to show me where my hidden sins are, he showed me… Well now I know, repent and move on, help me Lord! Help me…

Oh and funny thing, a couple weeks ago I realized Dana has been in the Terrible Twos for the last 21 yrs. I asked God, could you get her to four… Steve said, yeah, four by forty. Ha! 40 yrs of terrible twos and monster threes, now there is a season for you! Haha!

    Have an amazing weekend!

  2. Wanted to share the Message of Psalm 61 with you…
You’ve always given me breathing room, a place to get away from it all, A lifetime pass to your safe-house, an open invitation as your guest. You’ve always taken me seriously, God, made me welcome among those who know and love you. Let the days of the king add up to years and years of good rule. Set his throne in the full light of God; post Steady Love and Good Faith as lookouts, And I’ll be the poet who sings your glory— and live what I sing every day. (Psalm 61:3-8 MSG)

You’ve always given Linda, A place to get away… Steady love and good faith as lookouts…

    1. Such encouraging words today Linda! Thank you for sharing. It is very soothing knowing that God hears us. Always. “Come unto me, {who??? – “ALL”} …and I will give you rest.” This sweet on-going time of “supping” with our Father helps us remain in His presence throughout our day. Constantly practicing the dialogue w/ Him, – and through this He is teaching us how to remain restful. Even in our simple activities He can bring spiritual productivity, a purpose that has everything to do with His kingdom.

We know and believe He IS with us, so let’s anticipate His glory all around us this weekend!

  3. Wow – great day yesterday spiritually! The Holy Spirit kept (subtly and sometimes not-so-subtly) pointing me in the directions I needed to go. Very faith-strengthening!
