Free Gift from God

Don’t you love gifts? I do. God, the One who spoke all creation into place has a free gift for you. This is a great free gift, the greatest you will ever receive. There are no strings attached. He offers this gift to anyone, yes, anyone who will accept it, regardless of the past or present sin in your life. This gift is called Salvation.

God sent His only Son to earth, to live a perfect life in a fallen world so that you and I could have eternal life with Him in heaven. I can’t imagine anyone in this world that I would willing sacrifice my son for. The thing that amazes me is that God knew we were sinners and yet He loved us enough to send His only Son to be our means of a life full and free.

The way to Calvary was hard for Jesus. He even asked His Father if there was some other way for us to spend eternity in heaven, but His death was the only way. Jesus willingly walked the road to Calvary for you and for me. They way was hard for Jesus but He made it easy for us.

If you wish to accept this free gift from God, the gift of salvation and a life full and free, simply pray the following prayer: admit that you are a sinner in need of a Savior, tell the Lord you believe what He did for you, and confess that you are a sinner in need of a Savior then invite Him to be Lord of your life.

The ABCs of Becoming Saved

A Admit

Admit to God that your are a sinner Repent, turning away from sin.
For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God. Romans 3:23

B Believe

Believe that Jesus is God’s Son and accept His gift of forgiveness from sin
For God so loved the world that gave His one and only son, that whosoever believes in Him shall not perish but have eternal life. John 3:16

C Confess

Confess your faith in Jesus as Savior and Lord.
If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just and will forgive us ours sins and purify from all unrighteousness. 1 John 1:9

If you have prayed this prayer please share it with me and my friends at Proverbs 31 Ministries. We want to send you a gift to celebrate this day.

  1. I just read your 2/11 devotion and it hit home w me today b/c it is EXACTLY HOW I AM FEELING! I am struggling w my divorce (my husband left me for another woman) which isn’t final yet and trying to stay focused on God thru it all, but it is extremely hard at times. I know God is always right there with me, but I feel i can’t go on at times. I just want to run away from all of this chaos and wake up from this nightmare that I cannot believe I am living. I’m tired of fighting and trying to keep myself together enough to get thru each day. I feel like I pray the same prayer over and over which is “Give me strength and grace Lord” That is all I know to say. Your devotion helped me to be refreshed in God’s promises. Thank you.

I don’t know what just came over me reading the A,B,C’s, but I just started crying and thanking Jesus for all he did for Me. I feel so horrible that he had to die for me, and I am forever thankful for that. That is not something I could ever do because I am selfish. I admit it, I am selfish. Thank you Lord for forgiving me and loving me. I am learning and trying my hardest to develope a deep, and wonderful relationship with the LORD and I thank this website for helping guide me along the way! I love it!

  3. Thank you for sharing.

Your blog titled “A Word for the Weary” touched my heart today.

I use to be miserable in my life in every way. Miserable and hateful. I have softened over the years and it occurs to me that each time I profess my faith and accept Jesus as my Savior my heart becomes softer. My daily prayers always include an invitation to God to make my heart his home and I ask that He will help me to be more like him so I can be the disciple he longs for me to be.

It seems, at times, that is not enough. There is one part of my life that, no matter what I do, never gets fixed. I pray and pray that God will help me to mend the bridge with my daughter. I write small notes that say “I love you” or “I’m here when you’re ready to talk”. You see, I have made some bad choices in my life. My daughter has decided to condemn me for those choices and never speak to me again. I don’t understand. I have confessed my sins to God. I confess them daily and I know that he has forgiven me. Yet, my daughter cannot. I miss her. I miss my grandson, who I have only seen twice in his 1 1/2 years of life. And yes, this brings me to tears on a daily basis.

I’m weary. I long for answers. I need Gods help.

  8. Betty Reed says:

“If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just and will forgive us ours sins and purify from all unrighteousness. “1 John 1:9

I have confessed my sins and I believe God has forgiven my sins. Sometimes the hardest thing of all is forgiving yourself, but like my couselor said to me, “Betty, if God has forgiven your sins, why can you not forgive yourself. she said if God has forgiven you, you should forgive yourself.
Life is just so heavy right now and I’m not questioning, just sometimes everything feels like more than I can bear. Yes, God our almighty savior died for our sins, and I truly know that even now when things are heavy, I’m being carried and that I have the loving arms of the Lord to wrap around me at night so I can rest my mind.
yes, Amen, yes I believe, trust, and know God’s will is being done.

  9. Need healing prayers for my husband and for my faith through this difficult time. Thanks
