Out of Reach

“Lead me to the towering rock of safety, for you are my
safe refuge, a fortress where my enemies cannot reach me.”
Psalm 61:3b

My Take Aways

Something Old:

  • When my heart is overwhelmed and do not even have the strength to move, I can ask Him to lead me to Him.
  • When my heart is overwhelmed I trust Him to keep me safe in a place where my enemy can not reach me.

He takes me out of reach:

  • Through His Word
  • Through His Praises
  • Through His Children

Proverbs 18:10

“The name of the LORD is a strong tower; The righteous runs into it and is safe.” (NASB)

Psalm 61:1-5 (The Message) A must read

Something New:

66:9
Again I hear “our lives are in His hands”

He keeps us from slipping even when we don’t know it.  Like a parent walking behind a child learning to walk.  The parent is there to keep the child from slipping and the child usually does not know it.  I love this!!

Something to Do:

Praise Him for being my towering rock of safety, safe refuge, and fortress.

May’s Verse

Psalm 37:13

  • Take delight in the Lord-enjoy Him
  • Commit everything to Him
  • Trust Him
  • Be still
  • Don’t worry

Something to Do

Psalm 37: 33
