Day 16
“But thanks be to God that, though you used to be slaves to sin, you have come to obey from your heart the pattern of teaching that has now claimed your allegiance. You have been set free from sin and have become slaves to righteousness.” Romans 6:17-18
It steals joy with sorrow.
It substitutes truth for lies.
It takes life and creates death.
Condemnation. We were never created to carry the weight of this word. It’s weight displaces our joints and burdens our back until we are a mere shell of the person Jesus died for us to be. It is toxic. The poisonous lies course through our veins destroying the health of our heart, mind, soul, and spirit. Eventually, we are unable to separate truth from lies and left to live with the guilt, shame, and regret its power has.
At all costs we want to walk in the freedom of conviction instead of under the weight of condemnation. So how to we know the difference?
Condemnation looks inward-shame. ~ Conviction looks upward- hope
Condemnation binds. ~ Conviction frees.
Condemnation speaks words of pain. ~ Conviction speaks words of praise
“So if the Son sets you free, you will be free indeed.” John 8:36 There isn’t anyone born, past, present, and future that the Son did not die for. He died for you. He died for me. We are free! We are only a slave to sin if we choose to be. I choose NOT!
Remember you are redeemed!!! You are free…live like it!!!

Love that song and needed to hear it this morning!!! Thanks so much for your encouragement!
