On the weekends I have been reading through Nehemiah (chapters 1-8) as Wendy suggested at the beginning of this study.

Today in chapter 6 I read about how prayer continued to be characterized in Nehemiah’s life. Even in the midst of the enemy’s attacks, He would call out to God to “strengthen his hands” and in doing so he was able to complete the rebuilding of the wall in 52 days – God’s divine blessing upon him.

It reminded me of Joshua in 10:13 when he asked the Lord “O sun, stand still over Gideon” so he could continue and pursue the enemy. The Lord granted his request in miraculously extending the day for fighting.

What a great encouragement in the midst of our battles to cry out to God “O sun, stand still” we have a victory to win!

Thank you Wendy for the suggestion to read Nehemiah – I am truly being blessed by it!

    Blessings!
    Lynne

Hi ladies. I am just joining you for the Psalms study and I was hoping that maybe someone would be willing to email me the questions for the last few weeks so I can get caught up. I’d be so grateful. I did Psalm 1 today and I’m looking forward to jumping into this week. Thank you!!! :) Denise
